I grew up in Mesa, Arizona in a family where education was always held in the highest regard.  While growing up I wasn't always the best student, but I learned early on that hard work and effort make all the difference.

When I took my first physics class in high school, I knew that I wanted to do something with physics. While many other students struggled with the subject I worked at understanding it until I was top of the class. I figured that I would become a physicist and do important research. However, while in college I found that  what I really enjoyed doing was helping other students understand tough concepts. There was something about seeing the light in their eyes when they finally understood something that made me decide to be a teacher.

I got a degree in Physics Teaching from BYU and came back to the Valley. I have been teaching high school physics and science ever since. I specialize in math and physics and on presenting these in different ways until they can be understood.
